# Fallback models

> Fallback models are chosen in the dashboard.

You choose fallback models in the dashboard, alongside a Compiled Agent Model. The API is in early access, a private preview.

## Choose them in the dashboard

1. Open https://inferenceindex-app.web.app.
2. Sign in with the same Google account as the InferenceIndex site.
3. Choose the fallback models in the dashboard.

The model name on the API stays `workflow/auto`. Fallback choices live in the dashboard, not in the request body.

## What you still send

The request stays the quickstart call. The base URL is `https://api.inferenceindex.com/v1`. The model is `workflow/auto`. The key is the bearer token from the dashboard.
